HanesBrands, the largest supplier of fan apparel for collegiate teams, announced a partnership with University of Southern California. The agreement, which lasts ten years, gives HBI the exclusive right to create consumer-driven fan apparel collections for mass and mid-tier retailers. This will help expand the University’s retail footprint.
This agreement adds to USC’s relationship with Nike as the official outfitter for 21 Trojan varsity sports and supplier of fan merchandise.
HBI will create, manufacture, and distribute a wide range of fan apparel for men, women, infants and toddlers. HBI will begin creating special activations and enhanced retailer presentations in January 2023. In a press release, HBI said that the company has in-house manufacturing expertise and is committed to transparent, responsible manufacturing. It also brings design expertise and in-house design.
HBI has announced that USC will join the University of Texas and The Ohio State University as HBI’s primary apparel partners.
